Jason Driver – Currently in US raising support to return
Hello, My name is Jason Driver and all my friends usually call me Driver so that’s more or less what I go by. I was born October 30, 1980, in Dayton, Ohio. I was raised in a non-Christian home, but thankfully I was blessed with the privilege of leading my mother to the Lord about six years ago. I always grew up thinking that I was going to be an engineer and work for GM. When I was about 19 I had a youth pastor that was pouring into me daily and he took the time, more often then not, to point out that I was called into full time ministry. At that time I didn’t understand it and I wanted no part of it. However, I was asked to lead the construction portion of a trip to Matamoros when I was 19 and the Lord really captured my heart there. Because of one week long missions trip with AIM my life was forever changed. I spent the next four summers serving as summer staff and eventually head of summer staff at the Matamoros, Mexico base. It was these experiences that prompted me to attend Bethel College (Indiana) and receive an International Studies and Ministries Degree. The experiences that I had working with AIM ignited a passion in me for missions that I never knew existed. The Lord has used those experiences to fuel a fire in me to see lost peoples come to know him. One of the biggest reasons that I have chosen to continue to work with AIM is that they are all about discipleship and follow-up. I love pouring myself out for others and I am a self-proclaimed advocate of doormat theology. I want to serve in whatever capacity the Lord has me in and I love coming along side of others and challenging them to grow in their walk with Christ.
